Is there a step counter and daily step tracker in Stride?

Yes. Stride counts your daily steps and compares them with a goal you set, along with distance and estimated calories. You can see today, this week, this month, or any selected day.

How does Apple Health integration work?

With your permission, Stride reads relevant movement data from Apple Health, such as steps, distance, and workouts, so your totals reflect what your iPhone measures. Imported Apple Health workouts appear in your activity history, and heart rate shows on activities when it’s available. You can change access anytime in iPhone Settings.

Can I record walks and runs?

Yes. Start a walk or run, follow your distance, elapsed time, steps, speed, and elevation, and pause, resume, or finish whenever you like. Afterwards, review your route and stats. Free includes a limited number of recordings per day; Stride Pro makes recording unlimited.

Can I make a custom shoe in Stride?

Yes. With Stride Pro you can upload a photo of your shoe or paste a product link, and Stride creates a stylized custom shoe collectible. Name it, add it to your collection, and select it to track its mileage.

Can I customize my Live Activity?

Yes. Choose a design and one of seven colors for your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Stride Classic and Shoe Focus are free; Compact, Distance Focus, Stride Dashboard, Dashboard Minimal, and Shoe Spotlight come with Stride Pro.

How do AI shoe collectibles work?

Can I use miles instead of kilometers?

Yes. Choose metric or imperial units in Preferences.

Only people whose friend request you’ve accepted. If you choose to share, they see your activity totals — steps, distance, and calories — in rankings for today, this week, and this month. Friend activity syncs periodically, so rankings aren’t live. Friends require sign-in with Apple or Google.

Which permissions does Stride use?

Apple Health, to read relevant health and movement data. Location, to record your route during a walk or run. Motion & Fitness, for supported step and activity tracking. Notifications, only if you turn them on. Stride uses cloud services for your account, friends, and AI features.
